RabindraNath Tagore University has been launched with a vision to transform its students into competent, inspired and responsible professionals. India had been facing the talent crunch in terms of quantity and quality, with updated, dynamic and time-relevant syllabus in professional courses, since last few decades. It was felt that India needs to produce more updated professional in all field, who are globally employable. To fill-up this gap, the visionary Dr Santosh Choubey had come – up with the proposal to set up , the first private university in Madhya Pradesh, with a combined determination of vertical as well as horizontal educational needs and thus the Ravindra Nath Tagore University, Bhopal was borne.

I am proud to be getting associated with such a visionary and to the Institution, created by him as first private university of the Madhya Pradesh, the Rabindra Nath Tagore University (RNTU) the “Social and Technical Change Agent”. From the huge and most reffered publications of this university, I have noticed that, these so called “Change agents” are not only contributing to our own country but also to the entire World Economy, by crossing the geographical boundaries as well. In fact, RNTU is no more a National University but in reality, it has already shaped into an International University.

In recent address by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Sir to the Nation, he has stimulated the nation to become ‘Aatm Nirbhar (Self-Reliant)’ that means, we, as education institute has got the responsibility to provide well trained manpower at all levels, right from Artisan level to Technical and Management level, which RNTU has already been doing since its inception but now have adopted more rigorous approach.

I am fortunate enough to become a part of Chancellor Sir Dr Choubey’s team, who had already conceived about the requirement of this kind of manpower long back. RNTU has already reached to a matured, research oriented with full social concerned University and has further opportunity to ensure that a diverse range of academics, administrative and business support functions are aligned with current and expected future directions.

I feel proud to mention that we have been able to achieve our ultimate aim that passing-out graduates from our University, should prove themselves as very relevant scholar to our Country and to the world. That too, in fast changing socio-economic environment but with ethics, integrity and inclusion of all strata of society, which our founders have cultivated, right from the inception of this University.

I am indeed, pleased to be associated with such a Path-breaking university with societal concern, using latest technologies and best available manpower.

I hope, with support and cooperation from all the stake holders, we will be able to continue to maintain No 1 Private University of the State and will aim for No 1 in the Country as well.
