CRG- A Novel Initiatives

The Core Research Group is a unique initiative of AISECT University to foster research culture in the University. Research work demands large number resources in terms of money, time and infrastructure with attached uncertainly of result and longer time scale for success. Private Universities have to mostly depend on own resources and that is the reason that, in private universities, not much research activities are seen. But AISECT University is a lot different. Research is a core area here. To underline the concern the Core Research Group has been set up. With initial funding of One Crore basic research facilities were set up in AISECT University. The CRG has been further given a seed budget of Rs. One Crore annually starting from 2017 with following objectives: -

• Extend financial and administrative support for travelling and presenting papers abroad.
• Build up Research Facilities and Research Culture.
• Identify meaningful Research Projects and provide funds.
• Encourage Research Writing and provide support for publication.
• Function as the Nodal point for Research Activity other than doctoral research.

Composition of Core Team

• Material Science - The Research center will be the Advanced Material Lab at AU Bhopal
• Solar & Wind Energy - The Research Center will be the Energy Lab AU, Bhopal
• Agriculture Science - The Research Center will be AU Bhopal
• Biotechnology - The Research Center will be CVRU Bilaspur
• Space & Earth Science - The Research Center will be the Advanced Earth Lab, AU Bhopal & Science Lab AU Bhopal
• Literature & Arts - The Research Center will be AU Bpl

Research in any of the above area may be initiated by any faculty member in the AISECT University.Research projects in any other field may also be taken up. Funding will be based on the merit of the project.
